Anybody have this or know where to get more, or how many originated from? I would love to get this, but it doesn't look affordable. The cool thing also is the snippets from the movie.

In my searches, I couldn't come up with anything. On amazon.com they have the movie posters about 190.00 or higher don't know if it is the same like that on ebay.
If I come across it, or come across I'll let you know

It looks legit but it could be a really well done bootleg. I'm just afraid I won't see one of these again. I just wish I knew what company put it out. Well 20 hrs. to go, can't ship to Canada, so maybe someone else on the forum can get it. it would be great to have though.

I'd say it's a bootleg.
"I only feel that you the buyer should now every aspect of the item before you buy." = "I can't blatently say it's a bootleg so I'm using roundabout ways of saying it", the story of buying it from someone on eBay who bought it at a record fair who claims blah blah blah just screams bootleg.
Plus look at the center of the CD, black text in the clear area, only rarely do commercially pressed CDs have text in that area because they have their identifying text in the center silver area of the disc itself, virtually all burnable DVDs/CDs have identifying black text in the clear center of the disc.
Furthermore there's no track listing of any Sixteen Candles soundtrack on http://www.gracenote.com - the site which Winamp and many other programs use to identify commercial audio CDs put into your computer as it has a database listing of over 2 million audio CDs.

Good call Wizard, let's just hope te record company can get some inkling that there is a demand for a product like this. Now Devo, I know you mentioned the holy grail status of this item, but did you know about the existence of this too?

That soundtrack CD looks like the real thing to me. I wouldn't let it get away!

I have the soundtrack on vinyl. There are people on the web who are making CDs by getting all the tracks on them and selling them (when they are not getting busted)... I have seen this for this album and weird science. I would be very cautious.

Looking at the original sellers feedback it seems they've been selling bootlegs from near day one.

Alas, didn't cough up the dough for that 16 Candles sndtrck. Sniff, sniff. But I did manage to score a Valley Girls sndtrck. Tribute CD. Anyone own this? A tribute to a soundtrack, how different.

Yikes! Never heard of ANY of those bands, and the cover is a disgrace. But I hope YOU enjoy it!

Yup, the cover is grody to the max. The girl looks like the old woman in the bathroom in the Shining! I actually have heard of some of those bands, Cub was a girl band that I saw once. I remember Flipside gave it a good review so it has to be decent.
