Does Goonies count as an action movie? I thought it had plenty of action. Getting chased by the Fratelli's while trying to locate burried treasure sounds exciting to me!

I have seen mostly all of the movies mentioned.
Cobra was my favorite, along with any Charles Bronson movie. There are just so many to mention.

Mine are a couple of obscure ones: The Hitcher, and a really mindless and fun one, Invasion USA with Chuck Norris.

I wouldn't really call 'The Hitcher' an 'action movie'. However, for those of you who have been waiting for the answer - it's 'Die Hard'. There's no competition.

Gotta be DRIVING MISS DAISY. The way those crazy cats cruise around in their olds-mobile burning up the 'hood.

....I think it might be Richard Dawson. He's a little over-the-top in The Running Man. Your so used to seein him kiss little old ladies on Family Feud and in Running Man he's a screaming sadomasichist!

DIE HARD!!!! Nothing beats this movie! I love it so much! Coming in second has got to be Beverly Hills Cop. I love the action, music and comedy in the film. It's great!

Banshee, really?? About the hitcher? I think it pauses twice through the whole movie. Chases, explosions, shootings, helicopters. Oh, well.

As preciously stated - this one's a no brainer: Die Hard. Best baddie in Alan Rickman of all time

Yeah Die Hard is a good one. Alan Rickman makes any movie that he's in better. I like the first Lethal Weapon too.
Also, when I was a kid I loved Krull, that's a fantasy flick but it has plenty of action in it.
