Hi, i am pulling my hair out because of this film.
when i was younger i watched a sci-fi film about a captains mission to blow up and destroy this huge star ship type star destroyer.
There are only three parts i remember to the film sadly, the first being the Captain leader guy looks after this kid near the beggining of the film and takes him with him and from wat i can remember they fly in an orangey coloured space ship. ((sorry cant remember names, too long ago now))
The second part is the crew go down to a planet and get into a load of trouble, gun fight ensures and people get hit. I remember there is a female character who dies, but too save her life they use this weird hoover machine placed over the wounds to try and suck out the bullets or watever only this doesnt work.
And finally its the end of the film and its just the kid and captain left who by now is badly injured and its up to the kid to blow the star destroyer up. This however can only be done by aiming at a weak spot under the ship which from wat i can remember has three rod like parts and glows reddy orange. Boom ship explodes, kid saves the day.
i remember it to be a good film and would really love to watch it today, with fresh new eyes, especcially as i cant remember what the film was about.
Pleae help, many thanks Zoobs.

I don't know if this is it, but the only thing that rings a bell with me is "Ice Pirates". It starred Mary Crosby and Robert Ulrich.
