The raunchy 80s comedy classic Porky's is being remade for a new generation. Savage Steve Holland (!) is writing the screenplay, and Howard Stern will be one of the producers. No word yet on who the director will be. This movie is set for release sometime in 2004. Opinions?

I loved savage steve's movies in the 80's. Maybe they wont be too bad, although Porky's was kind of out there. Too bad they can not come up with something original.

Will they be making like an 80s movie for a remake or will it be a completely modernized version???

Wow I guess by todays lame movie making standards there will be huge explosions and people jumping through the air in slow motion and characters faces morphing into others etc etc. Not sure where all that will fit into Porkys.

I actually welcome this because I was one of the few non-Porky's fans. If Savage Steve has something left in him, plus Stern's raunchiness, who knows.
Almost 25 years since the original! Woah.

You didn't like Porkys McFly? I thought that was one of the most hilarious raunchy comedies ever! American Pie has nothing on Porkys.
Anyway, Savage Steve had some great classics in the 80s. I wonder why he didn't just write a new story instead of remaking a classic.
