Finally a month after the UK release SplashDVD decided to send me Flight of the Navigator DVD I'd pre-ordered.

Eager to see what the quality was like I gave it a spin, it has a terrible picture [Frown] what's the DVD market coming to? everyone and their dog now seems to think that because they can put it on DVD they can pass it off as worth selling [Frown] if this were my release I'd be ashamed of it

Check out the comparison I made between the Italian DVD release, VHS I taped off tv and the UK DVD release: http://linux.tc3net.com/darwin/Navigator.html

Maybe its just me or maybe my computer but the UK one looks the best....well the most clear anyway.

I do take your point though, a lot of movies that are coming out on DVD are really poor quality...might as well kepp the original VHS version - especially as most of the 80s movies dont have any added features [Mad]

Wow! Ask and it shall be given. Thats pretty cool, although I am sorry that the quality is so poor, now I can add that to my list too. Groovy, that was a really great flick.
