My ultimate question in finding out about someone's personality is "Whats your favorite movie?" I'm tired of getting shrugs and "I don't know" Mine is The Breakfast Club, which led me to this site. What is your guys' favorite movies and why?

Honestly, I think this is a really bad question. Not because I don't want to answer it, and not because I don't think it's a good character decider (that's not a word?) I think that it is way to vague. Most of us as you saw in the last post have to put lists and lists of movies. I think that 1 overall favorite movie is extremely hard to choose. Unless you really haven't seen that many movies.
But that is just my opinion.

Police Academy Three Men and A Baby Short Circuit
Films not with Steve Guttenberg
Top Gun - I owned in on video from being seven years old and used to get up at 6.com every morning just to watch it. It totally affected my childhood - I'm not sure if it was in a good way

Id go along with this. If I had to pick one it would be impossible. I can maybe pick a favorite by genre. But not really a number 1 overall.

not that it's anyone's fault, but this topic has been posted before. but no biggy, i will share my favorites (which are posted in my profile). i would have to pick aliens and valley girl. i have seen them the most and remember every detail of each movie. just like mr. d said...it is hard to pick just 1 or 2 or 3. we obviously adore a long list of flicks from the 1980s-action, comedy, horror, fantasy and drama. the 80s are full of great ones

I go through cycles with what I think is my favorite movie. It may be what is on a lot that month on cable. But one of my absolute favorites that has not been discussed much on this site is Clue. I just love it.
Other films that I love are: Sixteen Candles Goonies The Legend of Billie Jean Fire with Fire Fortress (1986) Making Mr. Right Matilda Secret Admirer Shag Midnight Madness The Allnigher
These are just a few that I watch over and over again and can never get sick of.

Yeah, I saw that crazy ghost. Sadly, it is just the stand-up poster of Ted Danson through a frosted glass door. That ego-maniac Danson and his self-love. Makes me wanna puke - or is it just the show Becker that makes me want to?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is mine. Classic lines, good belly laughs, adventure, the growing friendship and then the sadness at the end where Neal realised Dales wife had died years ago. It's got it all.
