I watched a lot of movies as a kid. One of my favorites was a story of this kid who had one of those little toy green soldiers but it came to life and ended being his parter in an adventure. Eventually I think they tried stopping some terrorists on a plane or something. It's kind of fuzzy, if anyone knows that would be awesome!

The only film that I remember that slightly resembles this is "The Indian in the cupboard". Like the title suggests though it is an indian and not a soldier. This was made in 1995 I think.
