I'm trying to find either a 70's movie or 80's. It starts with a teenage girl who is in Catholic school, then later on a guy comes into the school and they fall in love. There are separate dorms for the girls and boys but he continually sneaks into the girls dorm and into her room. After the headmaster finds out he wants to kick them both out but they take off in his car and run away into the mountains. They build a crude cabin, which later gets burned. They then notice that the cops are chasing them so they run off again and end up on a cliff. She doesn't want to jump but her partner persuades her too so she does and they fall into a river. Everyone thinks they've dies and leave them alone. I think it ends by the young couple walking up the mountain towards their burnt cabin.
Can anyone help?

the movie you are talking about is called FIRE WITH FIRE (1986) starring Virgina Madsen and Craig Sheffer.
A young woman from a Catholic school and a young man from a nearby prison camp fall in love and must runaway together to escape the law, the church and their parents.

I have a copy of this on VHS, god the chemistry between Virginia Madsen and Craig Sheffer is so hot. I just watched this again recently.
