Help!....my husband and I are having a debate about what the 3D movie was back in the 80's. He says Jaws but I know for a fact that I never saw Jaws in the theater.....it has to be something else. I remember going to the theater to see it b/c I remember having the glasses but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the movie.I thought it was some sci fi pic like "back to the future" or something like that. Can anyone help me end this annoying debate we have going?

Nightmare on Elm Street 3 was one, I believe Friday The 13th 3 was another. There may be at least one other besides Jaws 3 that was in 3D.

The obvious 3D films have been mentioned, but what about Starchaser:The Legend of Orin? cartoon film using the basic plot of Star Wars with an extreme parallel to the plot of The Matrix (see my other post). Wish I could re-do the review I did of that film on this site.

Well, if it was a sci-fi movie, it very well could be one of these...
"Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone" -a campy and rather fun sci-fi action pic with Molly Ringwald, Michael Ironside, and Ernie Hudson...Here's the gist of it: Three woman crashland on a barren, hostile planet and are captured by a group of creeps and taken to "Overdog" -their evil bald cyborg leader, played by Michael Ironside...A guy (Peter Strauss) sets out to rescue them in hopes of collecting the reward money...Along the way he meets Molly Ringwald's character, a scruffy though taking orphan type surviving on her own in this wasteland. She tags along, gets on his nerves alot, and they eventually save the day (with the help of Hudson) and become good friends.
could also be...
"Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn"...another sci-fi pic with a rather poor imatation Mad Max hero as the lead...More along the lines of a so-cheesy-it's-good kind of movie. Does a guy with a robot arm that shoots out a deadly green fluid ring a bell? If so, this is the one.

Yeah, if the green goo gets on you, you have this trippy dream and go into a this permanent coma...The "big" 3D shot is when the hero rips off his arm and throws it slow-motion through the air towards the camera.
Most of the film looks like it waqs shot in and around a quarry.
