ok..i have got this move stuck in my head and i cannot for the life of me recall the name and cannot find it online. here is the plot:
A girl and her mother live together. The girls wants to date, but anytime she becomes sexual with anyone fires start around her. She discovers later that her mother was starting the fires to keep her daughter from falling in love.
It is a comedy, and i would put the year and film quality close to "The boy who could fly". I am not sure if it was ever released in the theater. I do recall one scene where the mother catches the girls boyfriend in the bathroom naked and he uses shaving cream to cover himself. turns out the shaving cream is the type that removes hair and the boy freaks out!!!
i would be so happy if anyone can help, or guide me in the right direction.
thanks, erik

I was working in a video store way back when that film was first released on home video. I've never actually seen the movie, but I remember the box art and description very well for some reason. Weird.
