I love the National Lampoon movies, especially Animal House. This is still the ultimate party movie:just stick it on in the background while you and your friends get wasted on cheap lager.Man we're classy!! I have to admit liking Loaded Weapon 1 as well. There are so many really funny moments in this film too,and the sight gags are excellent...plus The Shatner's in it.What more do you need? Chant with me now..'Shatner Shatner Shatner.......! You gotta love 'im.

My personal favourite has to be "Christmas Vacation". As an accidental homage last year, I bought a tree from a local nursery, late in the day, whilst it was dark. They bound it up, and I took it home to sit on the tree stand. It was only when I cut the netting that bound it, that I realised just how much tree I'd got. We were detouring around that tree for weeks.

I have to agree with you on ‘Christmas Vacation’ Paul. I just love this movie. To me this is the ultimate Christmas flick. According to dvd.debat.uk there will be a re-release of this movie on October 7th. ( R1)
By the way guys, (Paul and Smayt) now I have you’re attention, thanks for skipping the fifth one, I guess I had it coming after my comments last time.

Christmas Vacation is definitely one of the best Christmas season films ever.I love the fact that every Xmas Eve Channel 5 (UK) shows it(bless em). Gremlins is another good Xmas film, even though it is ultimately filled with death destruction and general mayhem(who?).Not your typical festive goody-ness but seasonal all the same!!
Oh and TKO,i'm not sure what you meant by 'skipping the fifth one'.Do you mean your star rating? 'cos I did try and crank it up for you a few days ago,so i'm not sure what happened there!

Devolution here, Everyone really needs to slow down. I will not dare doubt the greatness of Christmas Vacation, but I got to see European Vacation in the movies. Let us not forget "Hey Look kids- Big ben - Parliament" The Jacket "Rusty - The European tour" and the train ride with the best scene ever of Rusty singing "Is it you? or is it you?" while Clark plays with the ashtray. If you haven't seen it in a while relive it, that is a must.
