hello everyone Just heard on this site that Goonies 2 was set to come out or start filming. Does anyone know if this is real or any info? I'm a big Goonies fan, any info on this new project would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, poch

the only "word" I got was a while ago, and that was that they were gonna reunite the original cast for it...same writing and directing team too.
so it just may be good!

So I guess as far as we all know the sequel to Goonies is just a strong possibility. It would be a serious trip if they actually reunited the original cast...can anyone imagine Corey Feldman reprising his role as Mouth? I don't know about you guys, but I saw him a bit in that show about the celebrities that lived together, and man is he a whiner. Anyway, thanks for the info. If there's anything new about this possible sequel please let me know. Laters, Poch

I doubt that it will happen now. Back in 2000 it was a strong possibility, the entire team wanted to come back as long as the script was perfect. Well the script has been rewritten and retooled a number of times now. So far nothing has come close to being even as partialy as good as the first. Also, aside from Corey's constant whining, most of the cast are enjoying new career projects. Sean is a huge part of the LOTR trilogy, and is filimg a new movie set for release in 2004. Josh Brolin is starring in his own tv series, Martha Plimpton works in independent films, and Feldman will be appearing in Dickie Roberts Former Childstar starring David Spade. So I doubt that anything will come of Goonies 2.

Though it hurts to hear that it may not happen, I think it's probably for the best. I don't think I could take it if the sequel was awful. keep the info coming. poch

I didn't see Blues Bros. 2000, but I'm guessing it wasn't that great.
