Firstly, does anyone recall this movie starring James Spader and Robert Downey Jr? James Spaders' character was new to town and RDJr played in the local band. The love interest was the girl with really long blonde hair Kim someone. Anyway, I want to know the song that is played in the first few minutes of the film when James Spader rides in on his bike and messes up a would-be robbery of the old guy at the bus stop. I think it sounds like Marianne Faithful. Please can anybody help...this has bugged me for years...I REALLY want that song. Please help a newcomer (Aussie girl).

"Love Hates" by Marianne Faithful is the song you're looking for. "People Who Died" by The Jim Carroll Band is my favorite song on that soundtrack. Good movie.

On the subject of the soundtrack of Tuff Turf, anyone know where I can get "Lene Lovich - Breakin' The Rules (What do you do when opposites attract)"? The soundtrack appears to be as rare as chickens teeth and I can't find any Lene Lovich albums with that track on.

The 'Tuff Turf' soundtrack was put out in '85 by the Rhino Label...vinyl went out of production in '90 & the cassette went out in'92. No CD available apparently. HENS TEETH!!! But if you ever find one let me know.....

If I get hold of the Tuff Turf soundtrack I'll definitely let you know (regular eBay searches appears to be my only hope)
On the subject of soundtracks I've managed to acquire all but the last track of the songs used in "The Wizard" (which never had an official soundtrack release) :)

For Wizard...I just got on to Yahoo Shopping. They say they have Tuff Turf on DVD!. I'm too chicken to order it as I live in Australia and I believe there are types of DVD's that either will or won't work on certain machines or something??? I think Yahoo is yanky (hope that isn't offensive, not intended to be). Check it out if you haven't already. What do you think???

DVDs are region coded 0-? depending on where you live. If you buy a region free DVD player you won't have to worry and they can be had for as little as $90US.

Akita, I picked up the VHS for £1 a few weeks ago after reading it had James Spader in it, quite enjoyed it never having seen it before. Found out it's on DVD and contemplating getting it when I next get some money, cheapest prices I've seen for the Tuff Turf DVD are on eBay, apart from that, http://www.dvdboxoffice.com is good for prices (free worldwide postage)
Regarding region free DVD players, post what model & make your DVD player is and I'll try and find out if there's a region hack for it (a lot can be made multiregional through pressing a certain sequence of buttons on your remote control)
