Definitely check out Phenomena J2me it's a really great watch and the last time I watched Elm Street 5 Helen I enjoyed it a lot more than I ever had previously it's quite a stylish entry in the series with some pretty cool effects work!
I watched a few 70s Italian giallo's all starring the delightful Edwidge Fenech with the pick of the bunch being The Strange Vice Of Mrs Wardh which had a gripping plot and better dubbing than usual plus some awesome location shots of Vienna and Barcelona I really enjoyed it actually and wouldn't mind picking it up for my own library!
Also watched the The Case Of the Bloody Iris (1972) which was a pretty decent watch overall just not quite in the same league as The Strange Vice and was let down somewhat by the odd bad performance and some horrendous dubbing!
Still pretty enjoyable viewing and lastly was Strip Nude For Your Killer (1975) a more sleazy than normal entry which like Strange Vice Of Mrs Wardh had better quality dubbing on the English track but not as interesting or as strong a plot as that movie and though it held my attention for its total running time I don't think it's one I'll be rushing back to view!
I'd rate them -
The Strange Vice Of Mrs Wardh - 8/10
The Case Of The Bloody Iris - 7/10
Strip Nude For Your Killer - 6/10

I watched Fright Night yesterday. I have not seen this since probably the early 1990’s. I have to admit, the special effects and makeup were pretty darn good for 1985! I’ll have to look for Fright Night 2. I refuse to watch the 2011 remake.

Caught this one on a movie channel late last night before I dozed off. Pretty cheesy yes, it's pretty much expected in early 80's horror films. But still an entertaining watch if you ask me.

I myself have a soft spot for it. It does drag a little with the build, but it's ultimately worth it.

Another really good episode. The series has been a great success, and thankfully they've announced a 2nd season.
I won't be able to watch anything tonight -- BOO! -- but I'll extend my Halloween watching until Bonfire night (5th Nov). Maybe I'll get a few more movies onto my watched list.

Horribly bad Italian horror production shot on location in Florida about an abandoned research yacht, carnivorous fish, and radio-active plankton.
A show-stopping scene at approximately one hour into the film has a guy literally transforming into a fish while having sex. A giant fishhead bursts from his face squeezing out one of his eyeballs which promptly falls into the mouth of his screaming lady friend.. Don't you just hate it when that happens ?
Definitely a contender for the 'so-bad-it's-good' category !

Finished up my Halloween viewing with both of these -
Watched 1984's Children Of The Corn which I've always quite enjoyed it's one I feel that gets better as it goes along though the ending contains some really laughable effects work to the point that it looked like it was probably carried out on a Comodore 64.
Good atmosphere a fun storyline and Linda Hamilton is always an interesting actress well I've always liked her anyway and yeah I'd say it's a decent watch! 7/10
Child's Play reboot or whatever you want to call it was way better than what I was expecting its got fair bit humour in it actually and the gore when it comes is pretty nasty though like most modern horror some of the kills were a bit over elaborate but still i thought as a whole the film was rather well done and Mark Hamill as the voice of Buddi/Chucky done a bang up job,he was pretty great! 7/10
Didn't get to watch as many horrors as I wanted this Halloween but still i saw some great horror flicks and I'd say it was more of a case of quality over quantity this time around!

"A murderer breaks into a funeral home for shelter and finds a monkey's paw and a man who knows how to use it."
My favourite of the two. It's a nice twist on a fairly standard horror tale.
"A whole town turns on the mayor and his cronies who have controlled the town for far too long."
Great effects -- not much else, unfortunately. It just felt rushed.
I plan on watching the last episode tonight. One of the stories is directed by Tom Savini.
