"Physicist Lionel Barrett and his wife lead a team of mediums into the Belasco House, which is supposedly haunted by the victims of its late owner, a six-foot-five serial killer."
First time watch.
Pretty good -- a little slow at times, but enjoyable nonetheless. Not sure about the ending though.
Roddy McDowell and Pamela Franklin were great as the two mediums.
Two fun horrors one from the late 80s (After Midnight) and one from the late 90s which whilst low on gore and real jump scares make up for it by being stylishly shot and high on atmosphere with Disturbing Behavior having the added bonus of a pretty cool soundtrack and some well known cast names!
Enjoyed both equally as much and rate them about a 7/10.

"After being mortally wounded and taken to the morgue, murderer Jason Voorhees spontaneously revives and embarks on a killing spree as he makes his way back to his home at Camp Crystal Lake."
Watched the ace 1983 rat horror Of Unknown Origin with Peter Weller (Robocop) and the beautiful Shannon Tweed plus the equally fun Stuart Gordon horror Dolls which despite not quite reaching the heights of his 1985 classic Reanimator is not a million miles off and I still regard it as one of my favourite Empire Films releases alongside the likes of Reanimator,Trancers,Prison,Ghost Town etc.
Both rate a strong 8/10 with me and are two horrors from my collection that I could pick up at anytime and rewatch unlike a few that I do own that I only tend to revisit just once in a blue moon!
"Creepshow is an American horror anthology web television series that released on Shudder in 2019. A continuation of the first two films in the Creepshow franchise, the series featured six episodes with two horror stories per episode."
I watched episode 1 last night. Two good stories: "Gray Matter/The House of The Head".
Based on the short story from 'Night Shift'. Good "creature feature/body horror" story.
I really liked this one, very original and creepy.
This is a very promising start. Neither story is especially scary, but you can see that they've put a lot of effort into reproducing the feel of the original/sequel. The creep isn't voiced, unfortunately. It might be my only nitpick.
There are plenty of easter eggs littered throughout, so keep your eyes peeled.
Rather obscure (and for good reason) Spanish mood-piece known under a variety of different titles (The Butcher Of Binbrook, Necrophagus), full of old damp castles lit by burning torches, creaky doors, snowy landscapes, and decrepit graveyard scenes. The theme music adds to a sense of melancholy not unlike your average Jean Rollin film from around the same time period.
Kinda like a low-grade Hammer production mixed with one of those Filipino-shot Blood Island films by way of Amando De Ossorio.. something like that !

,..A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle where something evil lives among the ruins..'
Despite the presence of a noise-reproducing flesh-eating vine (or weed, whatever it may be) that adds a touch of the supernatural, this is still very much a survival-themed jungle-adventure-gone-terribly-wrong type-of-film, complete with several extremely graphic scenes of on-the-spot amateur surgery.. Tasty stuff !

Watched the very atmospheric low budget 1984 shocker Mutant again and it's one that holds a lot of nostalgia for me as I more or less saw it straight away upon its UK home video release back in 84/85 and watching it back then on my own as an 11 or 12 year it had a lasting impact with me what with its creepy vibe and terrific Richard Band music score!
Some decent effects work, tense set pieces, the already mentioned fantastic music score plus great performances from Wings Hauser and Bo Hopkins (who would team up a few years later in Nico Mastorakis'Nightmare At Noon) make this a winner for me and another horror flick that like my previous two viewings Dolls and Of Unknown Origin is one that I can just watch over and over again! 8/10

I went to my first Horror film festival last sat and sun and had a blast.
Rankings:
Feature films:
Rabid (2019) Really enjoyed this. Dark, dingy, depressing laced with sick humour. The effects were decent and Laura Vandervoort was really good. Probably prefer the original a little more but this was a worthy remake. - 7
Extra Ordinary (2019) This ghost/possession comedy horror was really funny throughout. And just so sweet with such likeable characters. - 7
Antrum (2018) The bookend parts with stories of how everybody dies within 24 hours of watching this film were hilarious. The film itself set in the 70s was pretty cool and eerie. Stop motion squirrel ftw! - 7
Blood Machines (2019) - 6
Harpoon (2019) - 6
The Furies (2019) - Bit of fun with some great effects. But felt like I'd only watched it last year. - 6
Shorts:
Five Course Meal (2018) (Cadden) - My favourite short from the fest. Watch if you need some disgusting laughs! 7 Playtime's Over (2019) - 7 The Animator (2019) - 7 Turbo Killer (2016) - 6 Eject (2019) - 6 The Three Crow Boys (2018) - 6 Creaker (2019) - 6 Z-Goat: First Bleat (2019) - 6 Chain (2019) - 5 Dead Air (2019) (Harmer) - 5 The Third Hand (2019) - 5 The Desecrated (2018) - 4

Just had the in laws over and I threw on Dario Argento's Phenomena and I was in all truth quite apprehensive to what they'd think of it but they both really enjoyed it,I myself really love it it's such a great movie with one hell of a soundtrack!
Not seen all of Argento's work but this along with Tenebrae to me are both 80s classics and excellent Halloween viewing or anytime of the year viewing come to that!

I don't think I've ever seen "Phenomena". It's kinda cool that you can watch movies like that with your in-laws.
I checked out episode 3 of: "Creepshow", last night.
Two good stories: "All Hallows Eve" and "The Man in the Suitcase". The first is a little short, like they've all been, but I enjoyed it. Very sad, though.
Overall, I'm really enjoying this show. It's definitely worth watching!
I'm going to try and watch a movie tonight; probably something in the NOES series.
