This 1983 film has been largely forgotten among the filmographies of stars Chevy Chase, Sigourney Weaver and Gregory Hines, as well as director William Friedkin, probably due to its critical lambasting and box office failure. But I'm curious to know about this, did it deserve its bad rep, or is there something underneath that's worth a rewatch? Here's the poster in case it jogs your memory.

I´m gonna vote Sigourney´s thumb here.
The film includes few fun Chevy scenes (the weapon introduction) but it should´ve been lot funnier.

I've always quite enjoyed Deal Of The Century Leo,i think I'm probably one of the very few that do though as I hardly ever hear anyone ever mention it let alone praise it!

It's not overly memorable or anything and it's certainly not up there with the best comedies of the time but there's something about it that I like and something that pulled me back for a second viewing.

I did own a big box VHS of it but it bit the dust sometime back when my old VCR started to play up and went on a tape chewing rampage,i think it's on Dvd in certain territories - Australia,US,etc.

Another for me that is better than it's bad rep!

The original artwork for the UK big box Warner Home vide release, slightly beaten up by the looks of it though!

I'm going to give it a Chevy,Gregory Thumbs Up!

Gregory Hines was such a cool dude, liked every appearance I saw of his!

A good cast. Some good scenes. A messy film. Overall it just didn't hang together for me, which is why - despite having Chevy and Sigourney back in their peak - the film didn't do that well and is largely forgotten. Caveat: These guys in a mediocre film are still well worth watching!
