I still can't believe that John Grisham wrote the original book that was the basis for this lame movie.

Oranges And Sunshine - Just 2 fleeting Christmases in this sad little child deportation film. 7/10
Trapped In Paradise - This was enjoyable, some funny moments. Although Cage was a bit too restrained for my liking haha. I could of just watched it on mute all day tho as it was just so bloody gorgeous! 7/10

Trapped in Paradise was filmed in one of my favorite places, voted Prettiest Town in Canada, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

Watched Trapped In Paradise and Jingle All The Way last night. How's that for cheesy Christmas. First time watching Jingle in it's entirety. Lots of cheese, but not bad. I know I touched on Trapped in Paradise, but I have to say it again, super underrated. It has so many great Christmas/Winter scenes.

Had this 2004 Christmas comedy - surviving christmas come through on rental yesterday and sat down and watched it last night and overall i'd say it was pretty decent and nowhere near as bad as I'd imagined it being especially after reading about the critical slating it received upon its original release.
Seriously daft in tone (but no more so than many other christmas comedies) it's also pretty funny in places and while it' might not be up there with the likes of - Christmas vacation,Scrooged etc it's definitely nowhere near the bottom of the barrel either!

Young Warrior - I too kind of like this movie. Ben is a little too over the top at times. This year I was trying to figure out what the heck he was going for with his character..... still can't figure it out. Anyway, the movie gets better as it goes and I don't mind watching it at all. Solid middle of the road.

Watched Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) yesterday.
"After his parents are murdered, a young tormented teenager goes on a murderous rampage dressed as Santa, due to his stay at an orphanage where he was abused by the Mother Superior." (IMDb)
This was much better than i thought! I remember seeing SN,DN once back in the day but it was probably from cut vhs tape. This is cool mid 80s horror without any silly jokes. Lots of skin and bloody murder scenes on offer here. It takes long before Billy finally snaps but i think that it was only a good thing. Billy gets a job at Ira´s Toys and i loved to see all those retro toys like Muppets, Masters of the Universe boxes, Krull board game and Star Wars stuff. I need to watch the sequel next.

Watched - Christmas vacation late on Christmas eve, holds up amazingly well this movie, full of some really great laughs I find this one to be as funny now, actually probably more so than when I first originally watched it back in 1989.
Terrific fun!

Yeah Bernie I definitely regard - Christmas vacation as essential Christmas viewing as I do the original - gremlins and - Scrooged.
I think there all great Christmas classics,I love the vacation movies the only one I thought fell short a bit was - Vegas vacation,it just didn't quite do it for me!

I'd like to see krampus Helen, the only thing that puts me off slightly is the fact it got awarded a pg-13 rating over in the states,I know this doesn't make it a bad film or anything just that I do tend to like my horror to be a bit more hardcore.
I did really like - trick r treat (i own the blu ray),I thought that was pretty awesome!

Watched Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987).
What can i say, this is one of the worst films i´ve seen Originally, the filmmakers were told to re-edit the first movie and pass it off as a sequel but they wanted to film new material. The only problem was that they didn´t have much money. So, what you get is over 30 mins old footage from the first film and the rest is newly filmed material. It´s a disaster and i don´t know why they even made the whole thing. Also, the lead actor Eric Freeman is so OTT you can´t help but laugh. Pretty Elizabeth Kaitan is one of the high points and i also liked the instrumental theme tune. Avoid!
