I was curious to whether any of you have seen Weird Science? Also, what did you think of it. Is it worth a watch.
I wondered this as I have it on DVD as it came as a double feature along with The Breakfast Club.
I haven't seen this yet, and wondered if it was worth watching? I know it stars Anthony Michael Hall, Kelly LeBrock and Ilan Mitchell-Smith.

For sure Chloe. Chet is a hoot played by Bill Paxson. Iron man(Robert Downey jr.) is in Weird Science also. I love the "YO! CHECK US OUT" scene.

Even that VHS tape must have been a re-release because it mentions Planes, Trains and Automobiles which was made 2 years later.

More fun if you're a guy (Kelly LeBrock) but I think anyone can enjoy it. Vernon Wells from Mad Max 2 and Commando is great in it too as is Robert Russler from Thrashin'.
It's also a great movie if you're into malakas

+1 to all of the above. Highly recommended! Anthony Michael Hall was fantastic in this. There's even a little Mad Max-ish moment!

Chloe- I am really interested to see what you think of Weird Science. I wonder if it has the same appeal for a 16 year in this day and age, versus the 11 year old me who saw it back in 1985. I can't wait to see what you think of it. Also if you haven't seen Sixteen Candles it is a definite must for any 80s fan. Enjoy!

Yeah, always interesting to hear reactions of these classics from our teen years through the eyes of today's youth. I await your response too. If you do enjoy this, a few more 80's classics I can recommend are:
Teen Wolf Just One of the Guys Revenge of the Nerds Summer School Lucas The Heavenly Kid Like Father, Like Son Can't Buy Me Love Heathers Once Bitten

One of my faves. A must see and I totally agree with the other movies listed. I remember when I was a teen i was obsessed with weird science. I think I first watched it around 1990 I was 10 years old and liked it but LOVED if when I got a little older. I thought it would mainly appeal to teenage boys but maybe I'm wrong
