Interesting gang film this one. Very low-budget stuff but it has it´s moments. I´ve never heard of the filmmakers and don´t see any familiar actors here so it´s pretty obscure stuff.
The film is set in Chicago and it´s one of those "one night" movies. Four yuppies lost their way and enter the "gangland" area where a gang called Chains rule. They help a rival gang member and get in trouble with the Chains. The group hide in an empty factory and that´s where everything happens during the rest of the film.
The cast and acting is decent/poor plus the characters make pretty stupid decisions but isn´t that the case nine out of ten times in these kind of movies.
The real action starts after the first 30 mins so if you can get that far, there´s few cool moments to enjoy. A little bit Warriors here, a little bit Assault on Precinct 13 there. While Chains is nowhere near those classics, check it out if you like the genre.
Special thanks to a friend down under who sent me the tape.
