"Don´t try to be Arnold Schwarzenegger in one day"
Pulsebeat aka Pulsaciones aka Shape Up is among the two best fitness films ever made. Heavenly Bodies is the other one in the top 2.
Unnecessary T&A, long legs with leg warmers and big sweaty muscles are the name of the game. Like someone already did, you can call this Aerobicsploitation. If you think that Perfect was shocking, it was just basic training compared to Pulsebeat
This spanish-american collaboration was direced by Maurice Tobias and stars Daniel Greene ( Hands of Steel ), Lee Taylor-Allan, Robert Small, Alice Moore, Helga Liné, Peter Lupus and Carol James.
Daniel Greene is a cool dude and Lee Taylor-Allan looks amazing.
What we have here is rival fitness gyms, romances, misunderstandings and makeovers. Then we have the typical competition in the end, this time it´s called "Aerobithon".
The soundtrack is awesome. It´s on par with the Heavenly Bodies soundtrack and that really is something. Too bad i can´t find any of the tunes on Youtube.
Fantastic fashion, sailing, Manhattan disco and even few finnish Tunturi exercise cycles get some screentime It can´t get much better than this. Buy or die!

Both this and the lunch wagon both look really good atomik, but I can't find either for sale anywhere, well tell a lie,a seller in the u.s had a used vhs of lunch wagon but he wanted about 30 dollars, they must be pretty rare movies the pair of them.
That "don't try to be Arnold schwarzenegger in one day" tagline made me laugh,I think we better put that on Bernie's inspirational movies fitness thread as a health warning

I appreciate the mocking but yes I dunno if I want to invest even 3 bucks for some of these movies. I gotta start collecting but I guess as a collector you wanna keep things in mint condition. I have a habit of throwing things around, leaving videos and DVDS out of cases for extended periods of time etc. I could imagine being an apprentice collector at aTomiK's house or something and getting my knuckles wrapped for sliding the VHS sleeve out of it's cover for a better look.

I just can't get myself to start collecting. Mainly cos I have had so many (so many) VHS videos and DVD's and let them all go by the wayside. It's so disheartening to have had and lost and to try and start again.
