The movie was a typical 80's barbarian type movie. The only scene I remember is the main character is strapped to a greased pole and sliding down to a large spike for the worlds worst suppository.

That would be the crappy Sorceress directed by Jack Hill for Roger Corman in 1982.

Thanks, guys, for all the laughs. Seriously, it is crappy, but boy, is it a fun movie. The story behind the twin Playmate stars of the film--how they hooked a sugar daddy to give them money and went to jail for tax evasion but their convictions were overturned, and then the one went nuts and became a stalker--is hilarious too.

Ah, the twins-movie ! Now i know which one this is !
Never actually seen it, but the trailer is featured on one of Synapse Films' 42nd Street Forever trailer compilations. Looked like a masterpiece to me !
I took a quick look on Youtube and found this very interesting clip in which Jack Hill discusses the making of Sorceress. Check it out : www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxWFRE24xPMPosts: 2176 | From: The Netherlands | Registered: Jun 2011 | Site Updates: 0

That clip is from Joe Dante's fantastic "Trailers from Hell" website. Edgar Wright's commentaries on his favorite movies, such as "Suspiria," on that site are hilarious.
I love those 42nd Street Forever trailer collections. Do you have the one with this trailer for the Sonny Chiba movie "The Bodyguard"? It has voices chanting "Viva Chiba! Viva CHIBA! VIVA CHIBA!" It's great!

Yeah, i have all 5 of the 42nd Street Forever dvd's, plus the 42nd Street Forever XXX compilation. I even bought them all over again on blu-ray last year. The blu-ray features an additional dozen or so trailers that weren't featured on the dvd version(s). It's great stuff, highly entertaining !
I have Sonny Chiba's The Bodyguard on a double-feature dvd (Sister Streetfighter being its co-feature), but i think the Viva Chiba chanting is exclusive to the trailer. They go totally out-of-control towards the end of that clip.. it's hilarious !
