I'm pretty sure I had started a thread for this before but I could not find it. Now that we are in September and football is starting, I'm in the mood for fall movies (I just need some cooler weather and it will be perfect). I have a few favorites but was curious what movies everyone enjoys watching in the fall.
Try to keep it 80's but if you have some others that are perfect for fall, I'd love to hear them.
Halloween Friday the 13th movies Children of the Corn Funny Farm Planes Trains (later fall) Tommy Boy Ground Hog Day (don't ask why, I know, it's spring)

Thanks for all the great suggestions you two! I love watching movies based on what time of year it is! I feel like they hit home even more that way. My problem is I always want to start watching the upcoming season's movies way too early (Christmas is the worst).
I can't believe I forgot to write down All the right moves! I love watching several football movies during this time.
I also like Uncle Buck for the fall.

I watch movies depending on the mood. Not so much for seasonal changes. But October usually is the time for my slasher/zombie/wolf/lovecraftian stuff.

I grew up very near Punxy. My little sister did her student teaching there. Nice little town! Good list of fall/Halloween movies, by the way. I especially like the original Black Christmas, The Brood, and the original The Stepfather.

No mention of Ghostbusters yet? It's always been perfect around Halloween here.

Gordongecko- it is probably a good political move that I retire that name... Crash-my sister-in-law painted the inside of Punxsy Phil's house at the Civic Center at the Library where his house is. She painted the mural on the wall.
How about Monster Squad, did anyone mention it?

I guess I'm a little late to bump this compared to the last few years. Feel free to keep adding to the list or discuss the fall movies you've been watching this year.
I've been holding off for as long as possible but I think it's time I start watching a few. I'm sure the first one will be Funny Farm. I can't wait to see it again!

I thought I'd bump this up because time just fast forwarded a month here in MN. Went from warm 80's weather to highs around 60, over night. Watched Big two nights ago and it really hit the spot. I'm looking forward to viewing a few more fall favorites in the coming days. Keep the suggestions coming, if you have any to add.
Has anyone watched any fall movies recently?

I haven’t watched any yet. I should watch All The Right Moves again, since it was filmed in my hometown. Reading through some of these posts, I miss Crash posting here.

Yes, having Crash around is always nice. So many posters I miss around here!
I love All the Right Moves! I didn't know it was in your hometown. That's really cool. So was that your high school/football stadium? I'm curious about the locations, and if you have any stories about them.
