Just curious how you people use IMDB (if you do)?

I like to use it to check ratings on movies that I'm thinking about watching (mainly on netflix). I also enjoy throwing my ratings on there after I've seen them. I'll use message boards once and a great while as well. I really haven't done any list building but I wonder if that could be a valuable tool.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts and uses are for it.

It's a great research spot, and helps out a great deal when you get the "I can't remember much about this movie, I think it had a girl in it, and she did something" kind of questions. sometimes event eh most obscure detail can turn up the right search result when you really can't think of the name, and it has the advantage of having every movie and tv show on there.

Ahh, totally forgot that I use it a lot for that! Ha. The old, I think she was in a movie when she was younger.... or something like that.

I use it to research movies I've seen that I like, and to look up information on actors. I don't post anything (those ppl on their message boards can be mean) but I do read the posts a lot.

I utilise the IMDB to look up films. I'm a member in addition and I submit updates besides ratings to it.

Someday I would like to post on the public message boards.
