When you look at the full reply form (or when entering a new thread) there are ten buttons beneath the text box and the Add Reply button.
These are URL, BOLD, QUOTE, LIST START and END, EMAIL, ITALICS, CODE, LIST ITEM, and.... IMAGE .
Click Image, and then enter the URL of the image (which needs to be somewhere on the web before you add it.)
Just remember - nothing inappropriate, cos it'll get deleted, and likely so will the poster.

It didn't work for me either. And i'm pretty sure i did everything correctly. I'm always counting on aTomiK to illustrate my threads with lovely artwork.

The code? I am sorry but I am not familiar with url or img, I am basically computer illiterate. Can I put a pic on this site that I have scanned on my computer and if so how? I have tried but have had no luck. Any help is appreciated.

Then I type in something like Caddyshack and hit enter and a whole bunch of Caddyshack pictures will come up.
Then click on the picture that you want and then on the right side of the screen will appear a box called Links. In that box their is about 4 headings including one that says IMG code. Just click on the IMG code and it will automatically highlight and then right click and press copy and then right click in your post to where you want to put the pic and left click to paste it. Doing it this way saves you time to put [IMG] stuff manually. Oh yeah if you want to use a pic off your computer you have to sign up for an account with Photobucket but its free and then just click on upload and then it will prompt you to select the file from your computer. Once you have selected the file it will take a few seconds to upload. Once uploaded the site will automatically generate an IMG code and then just copy and paste that as said before.
So here is my pic after I have done what is mentioned above:
I am only explaining the cut and paste if you did not know that part of it too, my severe apologies if you do but some people honestly don't.
Hope this helps. PM me if it doesn't.

After filling in the URL-code, it says : 'Now enter the title of the web page you wish to reference'. I'm pretty sure this wasn't asked the last time i managed to put a pic on. And isn't the web page's name included in the URL-code ?
I mean, i'm not here to puzzle my way through several codes.. I'm here to talk about movies, with or without pics illustrating my messages (and they will probably be without then, i guess).

Sounds like you're clicking the URL button instead of the Image one.
