"An attractive, well-known TV newscaster is stalked by an obsessed admirer named Derek whose obsession turns to hate when she rejects his advances and his moves become more harassing and ultimately murderous." (IMDb)
This was a fun little b-thriller written and directed by David Schmoeller (Tourist Trap, Puppetmaster etc.) Starring Morgan Fairchild, Michael Sarrazin, Andrew Stevens, Vince Edwards and Colleen Camp.
Fairchild is gorgeous and this movie is a must have for her fans. Steamy swimming pool and bath scenes... Andrew Stevens gives a solid performance as the psychopatic stalker.
Morgan and Colleen think the stalker won´t give them enough heat
The acting could be better, lots of plot holes in the script and the movie is way too long for it´s own good. This flick got three Razzie nominations but i can´t help but love this kind of stuff
Michael Keaton was considered for the role of Derek, now that would have been awesome The seduction has been released on dvd but i think that it´s OOP right now.

I remember seeing this in a grindhouse on opening night in Philadelphia back in the day. I agree with everything you said about it: acting is not the greatest, and the plot holes are big enough to sink a truck, but... It's actually a pretty well-made film, no surprise coming from director David Schmoeller, an ace with low budgets, who manages some nice atmosphere and suspense.
Have you seen Schmoeller's little short film about working with crazy maniac Klaus Kinski on "Crawlspace"? It is hilarious. I laughed so hard when Schmoeller says that very soon into shooting, after Kinski had several crazy tantrums, the crew came to him en masse and said, "We must kill Mr. Kinsky." And it goes downhill from there.

Good flick. My dad really likes this one. Andrew Stevens has to be one of the worst actors around even then. Michael Keaton could have done 1000x better. He played a psycho very well in the movie Pacific Heights.

david schmoeller's crawlspace with klaus kinski is great, got it on a double sided disc with the attic, also pretty good.
not seen crawlspace for a bit but i can remember the chair with the blade or something that pops up when you sit on it,ouch!
i can also remember the creepy sight of kinski dressed as a nazi and of him on some sought of trolley board pulley system going through the crawlspaces(hence the title) in his building.
atomik,hunt this one down,i reckon you'll like,i think it's a very underated movie.
everytime i think of andrew stevens i instantly think of 10 to midnight, awesome movie, bronson was sometimes acused of wooden performances but next to andrew stevens he looked like an oscar winner
