"When the owner and proprietor of the Lucky Dragon casino in Hong Kong refuses to let mobsters take over his business he and his family are hit. Dragon's chief of security, Josh Randall (Chuck Norris) goes looking the head of the syndicate to exact revenge for the murder of his employer, friend and mentor."
Forced Vengeance is a highly entertaining action movie directed by James Fargo who directed two enjoyable Eastwood flicks in the 70s (The Enforcer and Every Which Way But Loose) and hit the Jackpot in ´84 with Voyage of the Rock Aliens
The film stars Chuck Norris who was on fire in the early 80s. Co-stars include Mary Louise Weller, Camila Griggs, Michael Cavanaugh and David Opatoshu.
Chuck with the lovely ladies
The story is interesting enough and the movie is set in Hong Kong which is always a great place to shoot action movies. Once again you can hear Norris´ thoughts, just like in The Octagon, and it works. "Hong Kong is fast, hard, and dangerous… like a slap in the face, that makes you feel good."
The movie starts pretty slowly but turns out to be a surprisingly violent and nasty. Casinos and gambling, cool HK scenery, sleazy villains and excellent fights.
Highly recommended for old school action movie fans!

This is one of my fav Chuck Norris movies....Lone Wolf McQuade and Silent Rage being tops. I fondly remember my Dad telling me to close my eyes for the parts with nudity....which I never did of course. Chuck at his best.....

i really liked forced vengeance, some great fight scenes plus an excellent musical score, plus it did have a bit of a mean streak to it - the rape scene plus numerous other murders and beatings.
chuck rolled out some really great movies during the 80s,loved this one, silent rage, lone wolf mcquade, invasion usa, delta force, missing in action trilogy, code of silence, eye for an eye etc.
i know it got slated by some but i did not dislike firewalker with chuck and louis gosset jr,no classic but still fun, plus another one that got a lot of negative reviews but i really liked was hero and the terror.
of his later works i really liked hitman, delta force 2 and sidekicks.

Breaker, Breaker is a fun Convoy style karate western
What i would really like to see again is Slaughter in San Francisco (1974), co-starring Chuck as a villain called Chuck Slaughter. Only seen it once in the mid-80s.

That's news to me! I thought Breaker Breaker was his first starring role. I've never even heard of Slaughter in San Francisco! I'll have to track that one down! =)
Silent Rage is my fave CN 80's movie.
