You call that sex?..What about 'Fatal Attraction'. Two real people having an illicit sexual affair the way normal (non-porn star) people do it. Although I would've casted the movie differently..Glen Close has to be one of the ugliest leading ladies I've ever seen.

Risky Business stands out in my memory somewhat, young rich bored kid gets a hooker for the night only he gets more than he bargained for, and I love the Tangerine Dream tunes in the soundtrack.

I would have to agree with McFly and The Wizard. I always remembered that elevator scene in the movie Class and also the train scene in Risky Business. To this day, everytime I hear Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight" I picture that train scene. Hot stuff. On a weird note, I remember seeing the funhouse scene in Revenge of the Nerds where Betty and Stan "do it on the moon" and thinking it was kinda kinky...lol!!!

the sex scene between Pamela Gidley (hot!) and Josh "Brand" Brolin in Thrashin' was a little over the top for the kiddie skateboarding movie it was.

That said, I simply don't think it was all that great. I thought Dudley Moore was miscast for the role. I read somewhere that George Segal originally played Dudley's role, but unfortunately walked out. Too bad, because he's a much better actor than Dudley and probably would've done a far better job. And quite frankly, Bo Derek just ain't my type.
No offense to anyone, but this movie got way too much hype for its time.
Sorry for spouting off like that! :-)

Unfortunately, like most movies, the UK release comes some time after the US release, and it wasn't here until '80.
However, whilst I agree it wasn't a great movie, it probably did a fair bit to influence the genre gong into the early eighties. As far as the British Sex Comedies went during the seventies, there were loads of attempts to effectively take a theatre show (such as Run For Your Wife, or No Sex Please We're British) and expect it to translate properly to the big screen by adding some big name stars and varying degrees of explicitness to the sex scenes. Sometimes it worked, most of the time it was dire.
10 showed a more 'glamourous' side to the secx comedy that effectively killed off the old style and made people think of new ways to present their movie ideas - hence the rise of the 'Porkys' and 'Lemon Popsicle' stuff, which matched up well to the general teen movies of the time.
