I need the names of the few movies Vanity starred in.

The only movie that I saw her in was "Action Jackson", starring Carl Weathers.

I believe she was also in "The Last Dragon", and there's a page for that movie on this site. (Look at the lower left-hand corner)

She was originally supposed to have been in the movie "Purple Rain", with Prince. But she quit the group Vanity 6, and signed with the Motown Records label as a solo act. So Apollonia Kotero replaced Vanity and the group was renamed Apollonia 6 for the film.

Vanity is now a born-again Christian evangelist in Fremont, California (near Oakland, Calif.) using her real name Denise Matthews. Last year, she published her autobiography, called "Blame It On Vanity".

Vanity also did an episode of 'Miami Vice' in the '86-'87 season. I think it was 'By Hooker By Crook' also with Melanie Griffith..she gets killed though. I wish theyd replay the damn show again from the beginning, instead of finishing with the last season and replaying the retarded episodes from that horrible last season..And NOT at 3 in the morning on some private Kansas broadcast channel where no functioning member of society would find it.
