...........even though i've seen it a million times.....every time it's on tv it still sucks me in...and here is why I think it does.......
God dang sexy Harrison Ford!.......oh Jack Trainer and your half smiles.
Joan Cusack was a Jersey girl before it was cool!
Weaver was so awful!!! like just awful! she couldn't push around the dim sum?
some of the best lines.....
"I am not steak....you can not just order me"
"Can I get you anything?, coffee, tea, me?"
"now get your, what did you call it? boney ***.....get your boney *** out of my sight"
I really loved Melanie Griffith and I know some may disagree but when she cuts her hair she was just an 80's fox!
Let the rivvvvvvvvvver ruuuuuuuuuun......who doesn't get up and cheer at the end?........go Tess!!
honestly this song always gets stuck in my head now The Members- Working Girl even though it's only the title.....
Well I know it's because I grew up with Working Girl........but it always sucks me in every time....it makes me happy and smile.........oh so you all don't agree? not even a little? what are you throwing at me? rotten tomatoes? ha

Muffy.. I do enjoy "Working Girl" and Melanie Griffith is so very great as Tess. I don't own it, but definitely watch it if I catch it on one of the movie channels.
Great write-up and pics.
What's the famous quote? Something like.. "I have a head for business and a bod for sin".. ha.. maybe
I always like the wacky way she came up with the idea for the merger!
And Joan Cuscack is a scene stealer with those outrageous looks!
"Ya know, sometimes I sing and dance around the apartment in my underwear. Doesn't make me Madonna... never will".

That is the precise quote. And it is asked by Tess McGill to Jack Trainer in the bar.

Hey Muffy, this movie is always one I like watching as well.
I'm not a Melanie Griffith fan at all, but she was charming in this one. I do like Harrison Ford's character a lot though! And I had once read that Joan Cusack was nominated for some awards for her role as well, but I never really understood that because to me she didn't do much?
The ending is just the best, from the moment outside the elevator, and on..

thread Muffy! Not seen the movie, but the idea of Sigourney Weaver armed with a quiver of pithy one-liners sounds good.

A definite favorite of mine! I've watched it sooo many times. Great movie! I didn't know there was a tv series based on it with Sandra though. I'll have to see if I can find it anywhere. =)
