new to the board. I have been trying to find the locations for "The Wizard" for a long time but haven't come across anything on the net other than a few general places it was filmed in such as Reno and Universal Studios (duh).
I have found a few of interest and thought I'd share them.
Lets start out with the boys home that Jimmy is being kept at. It is located on the corner of Eddy st and Ezell st in Gardnerville, NV.
Next is the gas station that the boys stop at to try and get the bus ticket. This is also located in Gardnerville, even though it is supposed to be a different town on the movie. The address is 1513 Esmeralda Ave in Gardnerville. The restaurant across the street where the video games are in the tables has been torn down, however.
Here are a few random locations. The wreckage yard where the kids stay the night in the truck was located just outside of Truckee, CA on Hirschdale Rd but looks as if it is no longer there. Also, the underpass that the kids are walking towards when "Send Me an Angel" is playing is located right down the road from this on Hirschdale Rd, under I80.
I have submitted these to the locations page for "The Wizard" as well, but I figured it would take a while to review them and get them up there.
