anyone else here a big fan of the very underated 1984 toxic waste/zombie flick mutant aka night shadows directed by john bud cardos (who replaced mark rosman director of house on sorority row shortly shortly after production had started) and starring wings hauser, bo hopkins and lee montgomery. good performances all round, decent zombie effects for what was obviously done on a limited budget and with a creepy feel to it helped no end by richard band's excellent musical score http://youtu.be/VO1AuwkP9jU i always thought this one never got the credit it deserved!

Watched Mutant yesterday and it was a cool low-budget zombie horror flick. These zombies are hot Love the way they put their fingers through the glass.
Hopkins is great as the easy going sheriff. Always remember him from Dynasty and he played the sleazy Carl in The Fifth Floor. Jody Medford is cute as Holly. She disappeared after this movie, i wonder why. It was also great to see Wings Hauser and especially Lee Montgomery (Girls Just Want to Have Fun, The Midnight Hour)
Cool, chilling atmosphere, nice small town setting and good b-movie cast.

pleased you liked it atomik,i think it's an excellent little low budget horror with a great atmosphere and a great cast, the music by richard band really adds to the whole experience .
eiv (entertainment in video) did release a mutant 2 aka alien predators starring dennis christopher a few years later ,had nothing to do with the 1984 wings hauser original, probably just the makers and eiv trying to cash in on it.

i'm pleased you liked it helen,i think it's a very underated low budget 80s horror which deserves a lot more credit that it initially got.
i can remember reading a couple of my film review books sometime back and they awarded it the turkey rating (a complete stinker),i thought no way is it deserving of that,i really enjoyed myself.

now helen if you fancy a laugh see if you can get your hands on mutant 2 http://youtu.be/1Gh4oYJATrY ,on second thoughts don't as after watching it you'll probably not want to ever speak to me again.
now that does warrant the turkey award, definetly a case of it's so bad it's good type of movie.
