This was a fun low-budget action film directed by Emmett Alston (New Year´s Evil, Demonwarp etc.) Starring Mike Stone, John Quade, Pamela Bryant and Roy Alvarez.
Sensei Tava Parker (Stone) is having a nice quiet life after the Vietnam years. He runs a karate club in Hawaii and has a pretty girlfriend Karen (Bryant) who is a model. Karen and her friends are having a photoshoot trip and suddenly they are kidnapped by evil army boss. Tava´s old Nam pal Cowboy (Quade) and his sidekick Tony (Alvarez) see the kidnapping and they call to Tava and tell the bad news. It´s time to get busy!
Some people may find the first 30 minutes pretty boring but when the action begins, it´s enjoyable stuff for b- jungle action fans.
Stone is good enough b-movie star (he also had a role in American Ninja 2) Bryant (H.O.T.S., Private Lessons, Lovely But Deadly) is beautiful, she was Playboy Playmate of the Month April 1978. Sadly she died last december (asthma attack)
Bad acting, some karate, Vietnam war flashback, sleazy crimebosses, clumsy action and cheap one-liners from John Quade.

Yeah, Stone was pretty lame baddie in American Ninja 2. I don´t know why they wanted the baddies look stupid in most of the American Ninja flicks.
The funny looking fella in TigerShark was Roland Dantes. Huge muscles! He had some minor roles in action films back in the day.
