i'm sensing a pattern here? and an easy way to confuse an 80s movie or two?
all romantic 80s flicks and all end with a moon.....not a derriere!
I just watched Crazy Moon for the second time today, it's an awesome movie....Kiefer Sutherland is superb!! It has a crazy kind of soundtrack and a cute love story.....you actually feel for the characters and their relationship.....his brother sure makes my blood boil! and as Valley said in the picture thread Vanessa Vaughn is really good.
So i've only seen pieces of Racing with the Moon...I liked what I saw.....should I finish it?
and Liar's Moon i've only heard of but have never seen.........and I totally missed the thread a month ago with you guys talking about it....
So Moon's??? Got a favorite? Moonstruck? Amazon Woman on the Moon?

I think so. It's not amazing, but it is a nice little movie.
'Cray Moon' always struck me as a kind of junior 'Children of a Lesser God'.
In an odd coincidence, all the 'Moon's' (Liar's / Crazy / Racing With) were movies I caught on late-night TV back in the 80's, so they occupy a similar nostalgic place in my mind.

I've not seen any of the "Moons"...a strictly PG family here with a history of various petitions, officially lashing out at the unnecessary use of nudity in films, particularly in the 80's. Als....aTomiK would not sign! OK...I made all that up....
I own Racing With The Moon, but have never seen it. Crazy Moon looks good to me, so I'm now pretty interested in seeing it. Good call on Cherry Moon Valley...I hear they play it in prisons when inmates are misbehaving!

Crazy moon is a pretty awesome film actually,it's quite a quirky little movie, kiefer sutherland's character in it makes me laugh when he keeps taking photos of the doggie doo and riding around on his motor bike with the mannequin.
It's a really sweet natured film and as good as kiefer sutherland was the young lady who played the deaf girl was really good.
This seems to be a bit of a unknown gem I'd say, there seems to a fair few people that have never seen it or let alone even come across it.
The reason I came to this topic thread initially is because I was checking up for more info and people's thoughts on liar's moon starring Matt Dillon.
I really like the sound of it but it's seems to be one those movies that is very hard to come about.
PS. Great review bamersy,I wanted to watch it anyway but reading your review has made me want to watch it even more.
Plus if I can manage to get round to seeing it I think I've only got one other Matt Dillon flick from the 80s I'd then need to track down and that is rebel from 1985.
I ve seen racing with the moon and i liked that also.

I actually like Under The Cherry Moon with Prince. It's in black and white and beautifully shot. Granted, it's no Purple Rain but it wasn't supposed to be .
As for the other movies mentioned here, I tried watching Racing With The Moon last week for the first time and couldn't get into despite my recent Sean Penn phase.

All three moon movies are great in different ways. In a world of strange coincidences I recently took down my copy of Racing the Moon to re-view, and I'd forgotten how feature packed it was.

Watched Liar´s Moon (1982) last weekend. A decent film this one. The relationship between Dillon and Fisher was believable and they both did a fine job. Always nice to see Hoyt Axton and Christopher Connelly did his evil father part well. There´s few things during the finale i didn´t like but overall this was a nice little movie. The Australian dvd included the happy ending.
