Alphabet City is a really cool film. I highly recommend it to every 80s fan.

This one almost slipped through under the radar :
Toy Soldiers (1984) co-starring Tim Robbins, not to be confused with the '91 film with Sean Astin and Louis Gossett Jr.
According to online sources this was released on September 1st by Code Red, but i have a feeling it may actually be Scorpion Releasing, who have been doing a lot of these type of 80s films in the last few months.. not 100% sure though. This particular title is distributed through Kino Lorber, so it is a general release disc that's presumably widely available.
I couldn't find any other details on this title than what's on the Kino Lorber site, and there don't seem to be any reviews for it either... However, that didn't stop me from ordering a copy myself, so i will get back on this with the correct info !

Toy Soldiers was released as Young Soldiers on vhs back in the day here in Finland. I still haven´t seen the film or that vhs tape anywhere so it´s too bad that this new release is region A coded

Well, you never know.. a fair amount of Code Red and Scorpion's discs are in fact region free, despite the region A logo on the sleeves.
It's not mentioned on the Kino Lorber website nor on Blu-ray.com, but i can confirm Fraternity Vacation and Pretty Smart (both recently released through Scorpion) play perfectly fine on region B equipment. I also own Omega Syndrome, but i haven't test-checked that one.
