Highly enjoyable and relentlessly OTT buddy cop movie with Kurt and Sly.
Director Andrey Konchalovskiy employs none of his talent from the Russian theatre. But sets a great pace and keeps the movie fast, energetic and fun. Kurt Russell is hilarious as Cash, Stallone is on form as Tango and look out for a young Terri Hatcher and Tango's sister.
The films basically a collection of scenes written around a series of one-liners and action set pieces. Listen out for gems like:
Ray Tango: Rambo? Rambo's a pussy. (Yes, Stallone actually says this)
Ray Tango: I've got good news and bad news. Gabriel Cash: What's the bad news? Ray Tango: We're almost out of gas. Gabriel Cash: What's the good news? Ray Tango: We're ALMOST out of gas.
Gabriel Cash: You know, it's a free country, Tango. Ray Tango: Yeah. Gabriel Cash: And people are free to do whatever they want. Ray Tango: So? Gabriel Cash: Well, your sister is very, very free. Ray Tango: I'm going to kill you.
[Looking at a picture of Ray Tango in the paper] Gabriel Cash: Well, if it isn't Armani with a badge.
Any fans?

I really like this movie as well. I've passed on buying it a few times, as I always see it with the carboard covers I don't like...but now that I see it here...I think I'll just break down and buy it.

The pairing was great. Stallone said that he wants to reunite with Russell for a sequel.
Huge fan of the original and finally pulled the trigger and bought the Blu-Ray a few months back.
