Very sad, unique and underrated animated melodrama about the 4 generations of musicians from vaudeville to the early 80's.
It's Bakshi's finest movie and has good entertainment, a tearjerking scene and great soundtrack. One of my faves since i was 12 when i saw it on TBS in 1993 and finally bought it on video when i was 17 then replaced on DVD in 2003.

My strongest memory of this movie is the song "California Dreamin'". I haven't seen it since the 80's-though I purchased it used on DVD some time ago.

You should rewatch it, it's an excellent adult animated feature.

Fantastic, and very underrated, movie. In it's own way, it's as viable a tale of the American dream as "The Godfather."
