It's okay in a "Let's have three or four beers and watch this thing" lowbrow sort of way. Good cast, though, including Tony Danza, Stuart Pankin, and a very young Michelle Pfeiffer... You will laugh at Robert Wuhl's rendition of the song "Volare." Guaranteed!

One of my fave comedies from the 80's! Stupid, but hilarious in my opinion. Robert Wuhl's debut in movies....he is a riot. Check out my review here:
Just watched The Hollywood Knights. It was awesome, i loved it! Non-stop practical jokes and familiar tunes.
I loved the cast. Robert "Newbomb Turk" Wuhl and his gang were the real stars in this movie, not Tony Danza and Michelle Pfeiffer althought they appear on the dvd cover.
Wuhl was fantastic and so were the two stupid police officers. Sooo many pretty girls in this one, i can´t even count. Boy i would like to be that surfer dude for a day, i would have a boss time
Nice review 80s! You are right about the Danza/Pfeiffer subplot. But i liked the deeper coversations in the carage between Jimmy, Duke and the mechanics.

This is one I've never seen, I'm hoping to pick it up one of these days. OMG, what happened to JDoc? Haven't heard about him in ages.

You can legally watch Hollywood Knights on line at www.crackle.com (at least in the U.S.A.).

I have found The Hollywood Knights to be a most uproarious film. I would be pleased if I came into possession of it.

Sonic, a drive-in burger chain located mostly in southern USA, has car hop service, with folks sometimes on roller blades. I don't think the attractiveness of their employees rivals those in Hollywood Knights though.
Sonic's food is surprisingly good for fast food too.

Recently re-watched "Hollywood Knights" - hilarious! Even though it's set in the 1960's, I still consider it an '80's flick.
It definitely had an "American Graffit" and "Animal House" vibe, but was definitely raunchier & cruder than either of those films - LOL.
The old "set fire to dog $#%# on a front porch & then run away" prank was not something I had ever actually seen anyone do in person on Halloween, but had heard about it over the years - very funny scene here.
