I don't remember if I ever watched Airwolf. Do you recommend it Pittsburghgirl. Im watching Knight Rider and its specktackular. Eat your heart out haters. Bonnie gets drugged in this one. Knight gets in a fight with a guy wearing an ascot hat and it never comes off his head during the fight. That baby was on there tight

Terd, I think you'd enjoy Airwolf. It's a shame that Jan Michael Vincent couldn't clean up his act. He was, and still is, a severe alcoholic. I don't know how the guy is still alive.

MAGNUM P.I. Texas Lightning 1982. Magnum helps a gambling spy. One scene I found interesting. One guy with a gun would say pull and another guy would toss a real pigeon(not a clay pigeon) in the air and the guy with the gun would shoot it.

Starsky and Hutch. Its actually from 1979. Birds of a Feather and it had John Kreese, the Cobra Kai Sensei in the Karate Kid and Ma Fratelli from the Goonies in it.

TNT, you inspired me to buy some Magnum. Today I bought season 3. I have already watched 3 episodes. So far Higgins has only referred to the dogs as The Lads and Magnum has got a good growling at. I do prefer the episodes that stay in Hawaii though. I don't really like the episodes that revolve around flashbacks to Nam or something else. It's got great nostalgic value. I will buy some Knight Rider soon and see if I can spot that VW. That's funny that it keeps popping up.

I hope you are enjoying it Bernie. I agree with your thoughts on the Hawaii episodes over Nam although I do have heavy interest in the Vietnam conflict. Although I like Knight Rider I like Magnum much better nowadays. Back in the 80s I was the complete opposite, Magnum seemed more of an adult show to me as a youngster.
Im curious why you picked the 3rd season. Did you have the 1st 2 seasons already. Last night, the episode "The Eighth Part of the Village" from season 3 was on. OGRE from Revenge of the Nerds was in it and he tried to beat up Magnum.

I liked both shows as a kid but I think I like to watch it mainly for nostalgia. I do prefer Magnum though over Knight Rider these days too.
At the store they only had season 3,6 and 8 so it was a toss up between those. Usually to I find most shows aren't as good in their first season. The show usually takes a while for the characters to develop and for the actors to have better chemistry etc....
I watched that episode last night. I thought, hey that's Ogre. I thought the dubbed on sound effects of ogre and his buddy getting beaten up outside of the pool hall was priceless.

Yes, very funny Bernie. I must admit when they 1st confronted Magnum by the crate, I did not notice that it was Ogre, noticed in the pool hall.

I noticed it was Ogre straight away but I have seen those movies a fair bit. He is one big dude! The dodgy sound effects were great.
I was watching a really bad TV movie yesterday and you could see the stunt man driving the golf cart and he jumped off to grab someone and then it cut back to the actor afterwards. They mad no effort whatsoever to disguise that it was the stuntman driving along in the cart initially and the stuntman looked nothing like the actor and had a totally different build. It's funny but I often wonder how some people survive in the industry. I would never in a million years do something like that unless it was intentional for some comedic effect.
On a side note, I bought season 5 and 6 today. That set me back about 45 bucks. I did not buy season 8 cos I know it was the last season and I don't think it was a full season.

It's one of my favourites. I started watching it during the Kirstie Alley years, and have always enjoyed it.
Nope, I only have the first 4 seasons.

There is an episode of Magnum that crosses over with Murder, She wrote and part 2 of that episode is concluded in an episode of Murder, She Wrote. Will have to look at these 2 episodes.

There´s also Magnum episode which crosses over with Simon & Simon series. The story starts in Magnum season 3 episode Ki´i´s Don´t Lie and concludes in Simon & Simon episode Emeralds Are Not a Girl's Best Friend. I´ve seen the Magnum ep but sadly don´t own any Simon & Simon season sets.
