The remake looks rubbish; its just a trailer, granted, but it appears that they're trying to ape that awful Zach Synder technique of slowing down then speeding up a scene. 300 was an empty box of tricks IMHO and surprisingly boring to boot.
I love the 1960s-70s Harryhausen films, but I was never a big fan of the original Clash Of The Titians, which felt out of step with 1980s cinema. Ulsra Andress was good and it was mildly amusing to see Larry Olivier slumming it as Zeus. But it was no Sinbad or Jason and the Argonauts.
I'd hoped the new Clash Of The Titans would be more along the lines of Troy or Alexander, but first impressions suggest its just another loud, crass, CGI leaden remake. We shall see...

Kash, I actually enjoyed "Clash of the Titans" ...maybe because it was quirky original in my opinion. The stop motion animation gave it a unique feel compared to other 80's flicks.
BuBo was for this movie like R2D2 was for Star Wars ... kind of stole scenes in the movie.
From what I remember 'Clash of the Titans" actually did pretty decent in the theaters.
Unleash the Kraken!!
btw, no thanks on a remake. Where's Medusa's head when you need it for all these remakes?

I'm with Valley. I love Clash of the Titans especially because of the old school animation with clay figures, etc.

Oh I love CLASH OF THE TITANS. I have an almost un-healthy love for it, as I know I shouldnt like it but I do( sort of like the FLASH GORDON movie!)I cant even put my finger on what appeals to me....although someone else mentioned those old old old school SINBAD movies and when I was a kid those were like heroin to me: i would be stuck to the TV screen whenever one of those would come on.
I think maybe thats the appeal - the escapism.
