As long as they aren't like Slappy the Squirrel with her handbag, johnny76, then you should be all right!

We've got 5 inches of snow so far. I'm loving it, but then I don't have to be anywhere today. I pity the people working in the malls- I'm sure it's slow there today. I'm going to go out and take some pictures later. Lovin' the snow! And the Christmas lights will look so nice tonight too!

Good game last night buffalogirl! Did you know that the Penguins and Sabres have the most tied games played against each other in the NHL? I think it is 41.

b.g. No more runaround for you from that doctor. Next time they call and try to re-schedule or have you see the P.A., demand to see the Doctor immediately! You were probably one of his last morning appts. and decided to blow you off.

Our electricity is back on!!! We had been without since Friday night. There are still some people in our county who are still without.
We had about a foot of snow...our county board of education didn't see any reason to call off school early on Friday (even though they knew the snow was coming) and we had several buses get stuck at one of our high schools, our third grade teacher wrecked her car...I'd just like, for once, our county school board to take weather warnings seriously. This is not the first time this has happened!!!

I ams till waiting to hear back from the Dr.'s office- I had an endoscopy done last Thurs. and they are supposed to call me late this afternoon. My stomach is in knots just waiting.
petty- I remember getting storms like that in my hometown when I was a kid. They rarely if ever called off school completely. Once, we had to go to school the day after a blizzard and we had gotten 14 inches of snow. Our school bus wrecked, but luckily no one was hurt. So the bus driver had one of the kids go to a house to call the school. They sent another bus and we had to go to school for the day- we were so disappointed! I remember that kid tromping through the yards, and the snow was about 2 feet high- he was soaked up to his thighs! Around where I live now, if they get 1/2 inch of snow, they call off school. What a bunch of wimps.

Petty- Glad the electro is back on for you guys. Seems most districts have been getting more and more lax on closing during bad weather. Which is why everytime theres bad weather and school, were always seeing more accidents. They need to realize that not just students but all staff aswell is at risk in these storms.
B-G - Hows that wrist ? gunna be able to unwrap presents i hope ?
Pitts- Hope all goes well with you and the doc !
Ace- ill be sure to check your movie out later. Good seeing ya.
Well, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all you guys no matter what you celebrate or even if you dont. Enjoy the days off at the very least !

Buffalo-girl- how much snow did you guys get in the past week? I saw on our news here in Pittsburgh today that last night the Penguins could not fly into Buffalo. They flew into Niagra Falls, and were brought in by bus. One of the buses got stuck on an icy road in Buffalo, so the coaches and staff pushed the bus to get it moving! I will say a prayer for your Bill. He should pull through just fine! Take care of yourself too- good to see you got some antibiotics to take care of that infection. And btw, I don't have an ulcer or anything like that. The Dr. said he didn't see anything. I don't know what is causing my problems with my stomach. It all started when my Mother-in-law was in the hospital this past summer, then she passed away- I was really stressed out then. I can say the Prilosec helps alot- I just really miss my hot and spicy foods, and tomato soup, stuff like that.
