What was the score? I was away yesterday. Early prediction- Philly in the Stanley Cup.

Went to the River Casino in the Burgh on Sat. It is right along the Allegheny River along with Heinz Field and PNC Park (Pirates baseball park). It was nicer and bigger than I thought it would be. Didn't really win a lot- basically broke even, but it was worth it for a good time. Yesterday we went to a gun bash. We didn't win a thing. I bought probably 15 50/50 tickets along with our gun bash tickets. But it was fun to be with friends, plus the food was awesome! What more could you ask for -great food, beer and the company of hubby and our friends.

Philly won 2-1 in a shootout. Good game.... they deserved to win, outplayed the Rangers most of the game.

Devolution and Cindy...I bought a couple seasons of Moonlighting, mainly becasue they were $7 each...I remember watching it, but don't remember it vividly...so, we'll see....
Hey johnny76....life is good...just turned 37 (April 30) and me and my wife just planned a last minute trip to CUBA, going on May 9. We're not worldly travellers, so this is a first for us...some friends were going and the price was really good so we took the plunge. Very limited travelling experience, so...any advice / tips from my travelling fellow Rewinders?

Happy Belated Birthday kevdug! Have fun in Cuba. I heard the food is sensational. I have never been outside of the U.S. except to Candada once when I was 16 (Toronto). Tell us all about your trip when you return!

Thanks oneyedwilly....some good tips. And thanks Pitts and Muffy...like I said...a first for me and my wife both, so we're really looking forward to the break...our five year wedding anniversary is in June, so it's kind of a celebration of that as well. Our families live close to use, so my parents are taking our son for a few days, and my wife's parents are taking him for a few days, in addition to friends taking him for play dates to help our parents...we're really lucky to have this much support. We leave this Sunday...back the following monday morning...I'll fill yas in when I get back. Cheers!

Oooops, forgot Muffy....we have a grocery store chain in Nova Scotia called the Superstore...they always have big bins of cheaper movies...they had a couple of seasons of Moonlighting in there so I scooped one! Once in a while I find some older 80's movies for a pretty good price.

My thought for today...I really, really thought people left all their drama and **** behind after high school. It's sad we have kids who are more mature than their parents.

Hey guys...back from CUBA! Highlights include:
* My first ever black eye...playing frisbee in the pool with a guy from England....maybe a little too much rum punch...saw three frisbees...went for the wrong one!
* Four wild dolphins swam by very close to shore on one of our beach days
* One of the crew brought their guitar and was playing in the main lobby...I played and sang one song and got a peso tip from a girl from Holland...her and her boyfriend joined our group and hung out for the next couple days...
* By honest mistake, we walked by a group of 300 German tourists to go to the beach, not realizing they were waiting for a beach tour...it was really funny at the time...I also initially thought they were french and was saying, "excuse'" as we walked through them.... using a horrible frinch accent...
* 30 degrees for 7 days without a drop of rain
* Lost a small portion of the trip due to the earlier mentioned rum punch...wow that stuff sneeks up on ya....barfing from 7 PM til 4 AM....not good....
* My wife tried to get a pic of me standing beside a giant cement frog (our son loves frogs), but it must have been close to a bird's nest...a black bird would dive bomb me every time I went close to the frog...made for some funny pictures as I was running back and forth to get the pic...
* Overall a great trip....

Glad to see you had fun kevdug! I wish I were somewhere with a beach right now. Can't complain about the weather as it is sunny and hot here in the Burgh!
