Pinball was never quite on a par with arcade games IMO, but it was fun to play for a while. The main thing I loved about pinball were the machines themselves; the cabinet artwork, tie-ins, intricate set ups and unique in table items.
Some of my personal favourites and a few I just discovered...
Actually played this one at my local bowling alley: R2-D2 would speak...well bleep and spin everytime you did something worthy of such an accolade.

My Local chippy had this Nightmare on Elm Street Pinball Machine all through my childhood. I was gutted when they got rid of it and brought in a crap Fruit Machine .

I was working in a house earlier this year that had one. It was an original from the early 70's and in mint condition....big bucks. It was awesome.
