Is anyone watching it? I'm not following every match, but I enjoy a bit of tennis every now & then.

Roger Federer looks set to win his sixth title, and Venus Williams will probably emerge victorious, not that it really matters; since they've practically been keeping it in the family for the last 10 years! Venus & Serena Williams are phenomenally talented players and my hats off to them, though all credit to Elena Dementieva today; who put up an awesome fight against Serena, next season will be her year IMO.

Serena's won Wimbledon twice whereas Venus has earned the title an astonishing five times, and if the effortless manner of her victory over world No. 1 Dinara Safina is anything to go by, you can bank on her making it six. A feat to equal Billie Jean King & Suzanne Lenglen, shadow the likes of Dorothea Lambert Chambers, Steffi Graf & Helen Wills Moody whilst edging ever closer to nine time champion Martina Navrátilová's record.

Federer looks unstoppable again, Andy Murray has an outside chance though it's a shame reigning champion Rafael Nadal's injury kept him out of the tournament this year. For it would've been good to see a re-match to their incredible 2008 final.

To be honest, given their head to head record, I'd say Murray had more than just an outside chance. I know it's a Grand Slam final (assuming they both get past Haas and Rod**** respectively) but he's playing probably his best tennis at the moment, and for Fed to win he'll need to be at the top of his game.

Seeing as the women's final is between the Williams Sisters, I'll probably not watch that one with anything like the intensity, because I really don't care when the same people contest the honours - would have been much better had Dementieva beaten Serena, because that would have made the final different this year.

Epic final, chalk up another one for RF: 15...star studded too, lots of tennis legends in attendance, though why former champion Pete Sampras was wearing a wollen jacket, I'll never know.

Random celebrity sighting: Gavin Rosdale in the Federer camp.

Sean William Scott vs. Quentin Tarantino, or as it was billed on centre court: Andy Rod**** vs. Roger Federer.

Andy Rod**** gave it his all, but RF was the shot playing equivalent of a Swiss army knife: Federer is a machine and we have to give him a good nickname, suggestions on a towellen wristband.

Roger in this era is great his doubters and cynics have to hand it to him his records in Grand Slams speak for themselves. I feel for Rod**** he would make a good champion I hope he does win wimbledon one day.
