What did you all do this past weekend? I just wanted to tell you all about all of the wildlife I saw this weekend. We went to our camp on Lake Erie. We fished, hung out around the campfire, and of course pigged out! While we were fishing, I saw some fish I've never seen before- they were long and thin with black and brown spots (I think they were a gar). Saw a brown toad jump out of the water, then I nearly stepped on his girlfriend, who blended right in with the creekside! I think she was wanting to lay her eggs. Saw lots of tiny baby bass in the water with the mama bass watching over the nests! We drove up to the Marina on Sunday afternoon, and on the creek that flows into Lake Erie, we saw a huge family of Geese- 10 adults watching over 18 babies. I took lots of pics and some video on my cell phone of them floating down the stream and out to the Lake. They were so cute. Oh, yeah, I caught a few bass too. I just started fishing 2 months ago, because my husband goes all of the time and I got tired of staying home by myself. I didn't get to any Mem. Day services this year. We usually would go to church for a mass on Mem. Day every year.

We went to the race on Sunday which was rained out. Four friends couldn't go to the postponed races Monday so we sold our tickets as we left Sunday night. We went fishing on Monday too pitt. Once you get used to fishing go deep sea sometime ha. I like it better. I've been one of the fortunate few to never get sick on a deep sea fishing trip although I've seen some folks get badddddd sick.....

I would love to try deep sea fishing, but I have inner ear problems and I just know that if you got me way out there, my vertigo (dizziness) would kick in and I'd be sick. (I'm already dizzy enough already, ha,ha!) My husband went on a charter walleye trip last year, way out on Lake Erie, and he had no problems. He said his whole group was fine, but I had him take a Dramamine just in case, and he also took those things that you wear on your wrists. Oh, I was talking with the lady next door to us up there, and we both said we'd like to go up there in the wintertime and see the waves on the Lake frozen over. My husband has seen it and he said it is so beautiful.

Dude no joke. We went to the 600 back in 2004 I think it was. Jimmy Johnson had led the field for half the race. They came on the intercom saying due to incoming storms the race has been called since it was at least half over. The ****in storms were like 30 minutes away. They simply gave it to Johnson. I think that's the maddest I've ever been at a sporting event. Never been to Atlanta but love the Bristol track. They've zipped a lot of the fun out of it with all the restrictions they put on the cars. I miss back in the day when I'd go with my dad when you'd see chicken bones go flying down to the track haha. Racing also lost a lot of its zip when Earnhardt Sr. died. People over the past few years have figured out just because you have the last name doesn't always guarantee success. There was a lot of pressure on Jr......

yeah that would make me mad to.the thing that makes me mad was going to the track it would rain befor it start then it would dry up and right befor they would start the race it would rain again.and it makes me mad when the track waits til late to call the race just so they can get you to spend more money on food and drinks. Lil "E" i think for the most part has handled the pressure pretty good.he just needs to cut ties with his cousin and get a better crew cheif.and i hate the car of tomorrow (cot)

On Saturday I went on an adventure with my mother and one of her friends from grade school. They decided to try to find an old family cemetery. We never did but in the process every horror movie I've ever seen (and ya'll know I've seen tons) flashed before my eyes...

Went to my nephews high school graduation. Went over to my sisters place on Saturday and spent sometime with her and her family. My parents came down from Minnesota and my oldest nephew the Doctor who I haven't seen in a couple years came up from Colorado. Saturday the weather was really nice so we built a bonfire in my sister & brother-in-laws backyard; they live right along the Missouri River and have a built in fire pit. Right across from there place there is a huge sandbar in the river with a ton of geese so we got to hear them squawking quite a bit while we were out by the fire.
Spent the night at my sisters place to get up for my nephews graduation. Sunday was a lot colder than what Saturday was with the forecast of significant rain. The weather thankfully stayed nice long enough so the graduation could be held outside at the football field. It was pretty cool for the open house which was held at my sisters place and thankfully the rain held out long enough so it could be held outdoors. When the rain finally did come later Sunday evening we got upwards to two inches of rain.
I had to come home sooner than I wanted to on Sunday evening since I had to get up and go to work early on Monday morning. Was nice though to spend sometime with my family and to see my youngest nephew graduate from high school.

Sammy, doesn't it seem strange that we have relatives and friends with children graduating from high school? I have a graduation party to go to on Sat. for our friends' son. It seems like I just left high school and went off to college not so long ago- NOT! Ha,ha!
