I actually had a really expensive textbook I'd wanted to sell for awhile......I signed up and it sold in an hour to my surprise to someone that lives a few blocks from me haha
Amazon takes anywhere from 15% I think. I still made a hefty penny that I couldn't have otherwise.
Now i'm trying to get rid of a couple Out of Print DVD's I have.
anyone had any experience as a seller on amazon?

My husband had a lot of textbooks so on a lark we put them up for sale. I like how AMAZON lets you know the going rates...some of those books are rare or out of print. I sold one for $85! A book that was just collecting dust and probably would have ended up in the garbage!
I also sell movies and cds.
I had a few bad experiences with customers on eBay but so far none with the AMAZON people.

I buy but don't sell. I've gotten really good deals from the Amazon Marketplace.

I buy tons on Amazon, but never sold there. I have and still do sell tons of junk on eBay. I've made in the thousands selling there.

Amazon has been my "go to" to evaluate what something is worth lately I buy from them over other sites and I did sell all those DVD's above and got a pretty penny for them too.
I know I had Just One of the Girls and Miracle Beach then.....
well I bought Square Pegs and Some Kind Of Wonderful (special edition) last week because of the extras i'd never seen. Just got them today and SKOW is the wrong DVD!!! Because now you can buy "new" from sellers on Amazon but it shows up as "from Amazon."
I quickly called them they apologized (Amazon) and gave me a credit to buy the right edition.....so i'm basically getting it for free now.
I just wanted to share with you guys how great Amazon can be...........also doesn't Nick get money if we buy from through the site? Someone explain how ii works?

I just winced at that.
Muffy! Why did you wait so long to get the special edition?! It has a commentary by husband and wife team Lea Thompson and Howard Deutch!
I deduct TEN points from your 80's credit rating!
I still feel your pain.

If you follow a link to something on Amazon from this site and then buy something, a tiny amount is given to the Rewind, like a mini credit for a referral. Something like that.

i love amazon! i have never sold anything but they have made a lot of money off of me lol.
it has been a while since i have bought anything from amazon, though. i get easily discouraged by things, and one of the last times i purchased a dvd through a seller, they gave me a crappy transfer and it ticked me off... i hate transferred dvds!
