Doesn't anyone have anything to say? It's grown very quiet here over the last few weeks... a little too quiet for my liking.
My challenge for you all today is - I want everyone to start a thread on their favorite topic, then I want everyone to respond to at least 2 other threads.

Will do my best Stitch....less time on the computer due to work demands and the nice weather...also, I could cry when I think of all the things I need to do around the house...just about to start to open our pool up, which is, at the very least, a solid days work. Right now, on a bit of a vacation (12 days off), so am hoping to tidy up most of the house stuff. If I could "rewind"...I wouldn't build a 28 ft x 60 ft deck around my pool...cause now...I need to stain it. Anyone gonna be in Nova Scotia Canada this week? Many hands make light work...free beers and BBQ!

Personally I'd rather the boards were quiet than have to trawl through the endless amounts of drivel and fighting that we have had to endure of late.
However, I am looking forward to some new topics to get involved in that are les slikely to be deleted or locked by the mods.

If nobody else wants to say it, I will....alot of it is because ISIS got banned. When she is gone from here, this place goes pretty dead. It's a shame....and she shouldn't have been banned in the first place. I see and hear everything that goes on here and on other sites. Not right in my opinion.

Sometimes this place is like a big dysfunctional family, where everything "unpleasant" is quickly swept under the rug, to keep up appearances!
Im not siding with anyone, cuz im usually the last to know, when all of this drama pops off, and left in the dark.

She didn't say the smartest things on her last post I will agree with that or the way she went about it, but when people who were originally banned get to come back with another username and get to post like nothing happened it's a real double standard.

I typically visit once per day, but was limited for about three weeks when my mother in law was staying with us (long story)...she was sleeping in our computer room...so limited access. Some stuff must have gone down when I was out of the loop. Anyway...contemplated myself logging off for a while, as I was getting tired of the fighting....I typically enjoy the humor most can offer, and I like getting questions answered as I try to keep up with some of the pros, and learning about some potential 80's gems that I missed as a kid. I absolutely love 80's movies and music in general, and avidly collect each...a shame if this "once fun" site continues to go down the "terlet"...as Archie Bunker would say! I think there's some really cool guys and gals on this site, and would hate to see them gradually drop from the pages.....Kevin Douglas P_____________, born in 73, hence kevdugp73.

I saw her last post too and some of it was the truth. Yes, she goes overboard at times...others do as well. It is funny that she is the only one to ever get "punished". That is ridiculous anyway, to ban someone from a forum for stating opinions or a little bickering. Everything always get deleted before Nick gets to see it too. I wish he knew what really went on here at times....

She was controversial at times I admit, but she wasn't the only one. This I do know though, when she was banned previously for two years, the Rewind was a dead zone, so maybe her opinions weren't for everybody but she did bring a lot of energy, colorful topics and banter not to mention other posters who came out of the woodwork when she came back.

Remember though that there were two people who were originally banned and both were allowed to come back. One decided to keep her old name and the other decided to switch. Most of the old time posters knew who the one that switched her name originally was anyways, so no harm there as far as I can see.
There are a few of us here, me included, that do push the envelope here on occasion but only two have ever crossed the line and taken things too far and have gotten banned for their actions. Recently one of those two took things too far once again and subsequently got banned.

Some posters here deleted their own posts and others were deleted by what appears to be Paul or Devo who are both mods here and are acting on what they feel is in the best interest of the boards and of Nick as well.

I didn't see it as punishment considering in the message it was said "I don't care if I'm banned or not." That's like a 12 year old saying "I'm going to throw this rock through the window I don't care if I get in trouble." It's almost as if your daring them to do it which is disrespectful either way. The consequences of being banned were known otherwise the statement wouldn't have been made. Quite a few of us push the envelope to an extent but know when to back off. I think in many instances simply challenging someone's ideas and opinions on here is seen by others as pushing the envelope especially when some didn't know how to take criticism yet had no trouble dishing it out. I don't think it's been really dead but a helluva lot more peaceful where folks agree to disagree in many instances without making vague statements without thinking and the same ol everything modern sux BS.........

I know that she deleted alot her own stuff Sam. She is no angel....I know that. At least you and Motley admit that you go a bit overboard at times yourself....alot do, but I still think that the banning was out of line and over the top. I'm not just trying to side with her, I'm trying to make a fair assessment from what I see and hear. Suspension - maybe, but banning is ridiculous unless you use profanity or post porno....this is not high school, we are all adults(most of the time). I'm not just talking about her either....nobody should be banned from what I have seen go on here the last month or so (including ISIS' last post). It wasn't that bad of a post.

It's no secret that I'm a big friend of Isis, but I'm also the first to admit that she is very quick to take that bait, and even though I've warned her to be careful in the past, she can't help but bite. And when there are a number of people who know this and deliberatly put the bait out there for her to take, we all know what's gonna happen.
There was a member here 2 years ago (Eightieschick) who targeted Isis, leading to her leaving back then. As soon as Isis left, Eightieschick disappeared too, I don't know if she was banned or just left. Late last year when Isis rejoined us here, Eightieschick signed up under a different name, which is a valid thing to do - but picked up the bullying where it left off.
It's one thing to fight on a little forum like this, but when that person goes to other websites (YouTube is one example) and insults Isis' appearance and the way she speaks, Isis has every right to be upset. This person even insulted me when I had a word or two to say (she said that I was proud of my diseases and those of my "butt buddies"). Firstly I don't have any diseases, and that kind of attitude is pathetic.
I'm very tempted to name who Eightieschick is but a lot of people already know. And to whoever said that a lot of the thread locking and removal happens before Nick sees it, you might be right - I messaged Nick a few weeks back with the full story and never heard back.
