Glad to hear you are fixed up. I am on my ollllld computer. My other one has a virus, I think. This one is so slow, so I can only go on a few websites.

I like AVG it's always been good on my computer. I also use C Cleaner. They're both free as well.......

I wish I had some money for a new system. This one is old and on crutches. Unfortunately, I'm way too broke right now to even think about it. I just try to practice a lot of upkeep to it running smooth so it will hopefully hang in there for awhile.

The funny thing is whenever my computer gets a virus my husband screams "What did YOU do?????" like it was my fault. And then he implys I "went somewhere seedy to get it" (like its a venereal disease or something!) Now not only do I NOT look at seedy questionable stuff...I am also pretty loyal when it comes to visting websites! I always visit this one and like 4 other ones and thats pretty much it. The most SCANDOLOUS thing I do once and awhile is I get online recipes and print them. What a tramp I am!

I buy one good antivirus like Norton antivirus, and one good antispyware like PC Tools Spyware Doctor. Then, I run a couple of free ones like Lavasoft Ad Aware antispyware, and, AVG antivirus. I Don't run them all at the same time or you will have problems and your PC will be very slow. Be sure to check that the "free" programs are not set to load at Windows startup... I run the free programs "manually" and make sure to update everything including Windows Update weekly.

Mamamia, you may be getting your viruses from the recipe sites. I have Macafee on my computers and you'd be surprised at the recipe sites that Macafee flags.

That's what I've been using for the past 2 years as well. It's done very well by me.
