I was just watching an episode on SciFi that starred John Cryer as a college guy who found a chemical that could bring photos to life - so he used it to make Playmates real, to devestating consequences.
I noticed in the final credits that Lana Clarkson, the woman murdered by Phil Spector, was also in the episode.

I always liked Amazing Stories. I bought Season 1 when it came to DVD but Season 2 has yet to be released. There were a lot of stars and/or soon to be stars in most episodes. My fave episode was "No Day At The Beach" with Charlie Sheen........

While season 2 isn't released on DVD, Netflix offers it to customers for online viewing. If you're interested. I've had it sitting in my queue for quite a while and haven't watched it yet.

I have fond memories of watching Amazing Stories on Sunday nights when I was in grade school. I just recently received the 1st season on DVD as a gift, and I can't wait to sit down and start watching it over again. The only two episodes I remember with any clarity were the one with ghost train, and the one with Kevin Costner as a fighter pilot.
BTW, the show always reminds me of a few others from my youth: Twilight Zone (although I far prefer the original), Tales From the Darkside, Tales From the Crypt, and Monsters, which I believe was also on Sunday nights. Nobody I know remembers Monsters!

I liked this show. I remember one with a plane and giant yellow cartoon wheels for landing gear. That's all I really remember but I know I liked all the stories.

Season 2 of Amazing Stories is one of the big holes in my collection - I wish they would hurry up and release it already. I didn't know about the Netflix option, though - that's cool. The new Samsung Blu-ray players (and LG also) have Netflix streaming, so once I commit to buying one, I'll be able to watch all the Netflix "Play Now" stuff right in my living room.

Ali_with_an_i & Saturnchick, either they must've shown that episode a lot, or by some spooky coincidence its one we all remember. I used to watch this show on Sunday afternoons but the only one I vividly recall is that plane episode. It was a little miracle when the trapped gunner's drawing came to life and two giant cartoon landing wheels appeared out of the ether. Great back then, but looking back its another ludricious, Speilberg cop out ending.

The one I vividly remember from when I was a kid was the Final Destination-esque episode from Season 2 where Charles Durning dreams that the plane is going to crash into his house.
