Do you guys remember that they use to have a show where they played a movie and cooked a meal in between , and they talked about it? I never see that any more. It must have went off the air.
Tomorrow night we are doing dinner and a movie at my house.
A bunch of friends are coming over, we are getting pizza and wings, and making a salad, and I am making dips and tortilla chips, and hot air popcorn for everyone- I even have those plastic popcorn containers.
The guys are watching "Quantum of Solace" on Blu Ray, and the Girls are watching "Twilight".
My one friend loves Twilight, so we'll see....I kind of want to see what the hype is about with it.
Does anyone else ever get together with friends and have dinner and a movie?

Not something we typically do...but sounds like fun....we have done....drinks and a movie in the past.

I don't know 1 thing about this movie, except that it's about Vampire Love.
My friend brought the book over the other night, but I don't have time to read, my mom reads all the time. So, I told her to read it, it's not a book she would typically read....I asked her if she could read it before tomorrow night, so she could compare it to the movie- she's a fast reader- but not that fast.
I actually was thinking of flipping a coin to see which movie to watch. My one girlfriend and her husband are watching James Bond, and she said who doesn't want to see James Bond, and I said Me! I don't like those movies, but I am not crazy about new movies of any kind.
I think I should have them all over to watch April Fool's Day, on April Fool's Day to celebrate my 3rd anniversary for the B & B.
Does anyone know what day of the week, April Fool's Day is on?
That would be really cool, I might have to do that.

Kidding ISIS.....I haven't seen the movie. Whenever my friends talk about going to see a new movie, I always say "so and so dies at the end"...just to bug em. I wouldn't do that to you.....enjoy your evening.

I was only kidding you too.....I don't even care if he does die...because I ask 5 billion questions throughout the movie anyway- when I watch one...I am always saying "are they going to die?"...everyone will say 'watch the movie!", and I'll say, I have to know...but nobody ever tells me.

I do dinner and a movie with friends often. Though it is usually a late night because we haev to wait for the kids to all go to bed, or set them up with their own movie in the great room. We often do something simple like pizza and beer, or everyone brings theit fave snack food and we just graze throughout the movie.

I actually ended up liking Twilight. We had all kinds of things going on that night, and I had to pause the movie like 10 times, so it felt like it was 4 hours long. But, I would actually like to watch it again from beginning to end. I thought the acting was good. It wasn't what I expected. It was definately depressing in alot of places, and dark and gloomy and creepy. But, for being a vampire movie-it was ok. I thought it would be way worse. I don't understand the hype on any of the people that are involved, even if Edward wasn't all creepy pale and pointy teeth and vampirish-I didn't think he was good looking. I have seen him on magazines, and I don't find him attractive.
I liked the scene where they play baseball.
I liked the Prom.
I liked the little town, loved the bookstore-it was kind of cool. I liked that all the kids at the school were very nice to Bella- I thought they would all be jerks, so that was a shocker.
I knew nothing about it before watching it.
I think I might actually buy it on Blu-Ray when it comes out, because I think it would be a good one for people to watch when they stay here.
