Tonight Mandan High School, my alma mater, won the North Dakota State Class A Basketball Tournament for the first time since 1981 when I was a Sophomore and a student manager for the basketball team. Even though it was kind of cool to say that I was a part of the last MHS State Boys Basketball Championship team it was nice to see the Braves on top once again. Hopefully they won't have to wait another 28 years to hoist their next title.
Unfortunately this weekend proved to be a down year for the MHS girls basketball team as they only managed a 4th place state finish. This coming on the heels of being the State Champs the past six seasons and winners of nine of the past fourteen state titles. Throw in three second place finishes and a fifth place finish over that same fourteen year span and it's pretty easy to say that the MHS girls are the cream of the crop in ND girls basketball.

Sammy that's a cool story, shame about about the girls team though. But there's always next year!
You had me all excited though when I saw the thread title. You see, I love the "28..." movies - 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later"
